Faculty Position Opening
at the Associate or Full Teaching Professor Level in Teaching Track
Primary professional responsibilities: Teaching in Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business Masters and Undergraduate programs and service to the Tepper Business School and the wider Carnegie Mellon University community. Teaching will focus on business and management communications in both written and oral practices. Full-Time Teaching Track faculty members teach a minimum of 12 units per year, equivalent to six semester-long courses. The teaching track at Carnegie Mellon University is a career track and is not a temporary or adjunct teaching track.
Starting date:
Fall of Academic Year 2022-2023.
Salary and Rank:
Commensurate with academic preparation and professional experience.
Academic Qualifications
PhD in business communications or related discipline (e.g., English, Rhetoric, Communication Studies) with at least 6 years of teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate prior excellence in teaching and contributions to a university’s education mission (for example, course development, curriculum or program development, extra-curricular student programming). The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the school and communicate and work effectively with a diverse campus community. Candidates with prior business communications teaching at the graduate level and additional business experience are preferred.
