RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruction of English composition and technical writing courses (50%).
Leadership and supervision of ATCC library services, including managing, planning, developing, and delivering for on-campus and online students (50%). Find and recommend source materials necessary for research (print and electronic information sources including databases).
Instruct members of the college community on skills needed to use library resources.
Oversee the library budget.
Act as liaison to academic departments.
Plan special programs related to library services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Librarian/Information Studies and English (both required.)
Minimum:
Master’s degree in library science or equivalent degree.
Master's degree with a major in English or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in English.
Preferred:
Two years of professional library experience/higher education teaching.
Experience working with MnPALS Alma Library System, Minitex and OCLC Library Systems.
Experience teaching college-level technical writing and English composition.
Experience in teaching developmental writing and reading courses a plus.
Experience evaluating student performance in the classroom in accordance with college guidelines and curricula.
18 semester hours of graduate course work, primary focus rhetoric and writing.
Education and experience with online classes.
Teaching philosophy that supports a student-ready/student development focused approach.
Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities.
Ability to work as a positive team member.
