Description
The Green Bay Public School District is accepting applications for an elementary music position beginning with the 2021-22 school year. This position is shared between Lincoln Elementary School, MacArthur Elementary School and our new GBAPS Online School (PK-5). Elementary music assignments are subject to change based on District needs. Applicants who are certified as an elementary general and/or vocal music teacher at the elementary level and have technology or online teaching experience are encouraged to apply. Special area teachers work collaboratively with all staff to integrate core academic instruction with fine arts instruction. Apply today!

Lincoln Elementary School:

At Lincoln, we have an enrollment of approximately 150 students in Early Childhood-5th grade. We are a Title I school that implements AGR strategies in Grades K-3. Our classroom composition includes regular education students with significant academic and behavioral challenges, as well as students identified as: CD, EBD, Autistic, DHH, LD, EC, OT, PT, Speech/Language, and ELL. At Lincoln, we have a high percentage of students who qualify for free and reduced lunch. The significant number of our students who have experienced or are experiencing trauma in their lives requires our teachers to be highly effective in the area of classroom management and student motivation. MacArthur Elementary School:.

Relationships with kids are number one at MacArthur Elementary. We encourage our students to SOAR and be the best they can. MacArthur is an open concept school with approximately 275 students in grades 4K-5. We value our diversity and MacArthur will be a Title I school beginning in Fall 2020. We are aligning our instruction and student learning with the Southwest Quadrant and will incorporate STEM activities into our lessons. We are excited to get our new makerspace up and running. Our school goals will continue to focus on literacy, math and student engagement. We also use PBIS and Zones of Regulation and will be learning more about Trauma-Informed Care. Collaboration among MacArthur staff is a key to our success.
