Profile

Champlain Elementary School is seeking an experienced child-centered teacher with licensure in Physical Education to teach K-5 Physical Education classes. Champlain Elementary School has a vast campus, a great gym space, and a greatly supportive teaching team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Vermont teacher certification with a physical education endorsement.
Experience in elementary school best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Cooperate with and support faculty and staff in providing services for students;
Prepare/complete appropriate reports/paperwork;
Maintain a safe learning environment, take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities;
Maintain and enforce District policies, regulations, and procedures;
Maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with Federal Law (FERPA);
Maintain attendance in accordance with established days/hours of work;
Perform other tasks and duties as appropriate and/or assigned by the Superintendent, building principal, or their designee(s)
SALARY:
As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Burlington Education Association.
