Profile

Hunt Middle School seeks a passionate 6-8 Math Interventionist to join a school committed to high levels of achievement for all students. Responsibilities include delivering explicit mathematics intervention to increase student proficiency via small group instruction and/or supporting students in the classroom environment. Responsibilities may also include teaching a section of Algebra Seminar and/or a section of EL math. The interventionist will work closely with school mathematics teachers and coaches to facilitate Tier II interventions. Candidates with a strong knowledge of research-based tier 2 math best practices are preferred.  
Required:
Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License.
Experience in math instruction
School experience at the middle school level
Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
Knowledge of middle school research based best practices
Preferred:
Training and experience with English Language Learners
Evidence of strong connection with students and families.
Experience in a professional/teaching learning community
Knowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instruction
Experience in implementing inclusive practices
Strong communication skills as evidenced through quality of resume and cover letter
