Job Description:
The undergraduate department of Education at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking an Associate Lecturer to teach the course, Registered Behavior Technician Training Two course for the Fall 2023 semester. This class will run for the Fall 2023 semester on Tuesdays in the late afternoon/early evening in a face-to-face format beginning on August 29, 2023 through December 19, 2023.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must have an earned master's degree or doctoral degree in special education and currently hold an up-to-date certification of BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
The applicant must be currently serving in the role of a BCBA in a public- school setting in the PreK-8 grade range and have served in this capacity for at least three full-school years.
The applicant will have demonstrated expertise, practice and application of:
The Registered Behavior Technician Skills Handbook including (ethics and professional behavior).
Demonstrate an understanding of the full range of educational decisions that are supported by assessment of student performance.
Demonstrate knowledge of terminology and practices in supporting student behavior, social/emotional and academic growth in a school setting.
Demonstrate knowledge of the legal provisions, regulations, and guidelines regarding assessment and related supports of individuals with disabilities.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Registered Behavior Technician's role in the support and assessment process.
Demonstrate knowledge of ethical considerations relevant to assessment as well as the implications of assessment-based decisions for a variety of students with disabilities.
Demonstrate knowledge of and application of data collection systems used in behavioral settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience mentoring and working with novice and pre-service candidates for the credential of Registered Behavior Technician.
The applicant should possess experience in using CANVAS, and 1 - 3 years teaching experience at the higher education level with novice educators.
