The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (FIT), an internationally renowned college of art and design, business and technology of the State University of New York, invites applications for the position of Faculty Services Manager (Faculty Services Coordinator) in the Academic Affairs Department.
Job Description:
Reports to the Executive Director for Academic Affairs Personnel Administration.
Manages the daily operations of the Office of Faculty Services; supervises full-time and part-time administrative support staff and oversees assignment and task delegation; establishes systems to facilitate operational workflow; anticipates and initiates actions regarding office operations.
Serves as an administrative resource to deans and faculty (classroom and non-classroom) to provide current, historical and archival information on college policies and academic administrative procedures.
Provides academic administrative guidance on procedures as established in the Faculty Senate Bylaws, the Faculty Handbook and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Inclusive of, but not limited to: reappointments, non-reappointments, tenure, Certificates of Continuous Employment (CCEs), promotions, sabbaticals, academic standards and curriculum.
Provides required informational and procedural support on confidential matters regarding the policies and procedures of reappointment, tenure, promotion, and Certificate of Continuous Employment (CCE).
Attends select Faculty Senate Committee meetings, records and disseminates minutes; manages correspondence of select Faculty Senate Committees. Tracks faculty committee compositions in compliance with Faculty Senate Bylaws requirements; ensures compliance in election voting guidelines, appropriate quorums, and other related procedural requirements.
Provides required informational and procedural support on confidential matters regarding policies and procedures of reappointment, tenure, promotion, and Certificate of Continuous Employment (CCE).
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required; Masters in higher education or public administration preferred.
Minimum five or more years of executive-level administrative work or professional work experience in a complex administrative unit, preferably in higher education, with progressively increasing managerial responsibility.
Knowledge of higher education faculty support services/academic administration.
Knowledge of and experience with parliamentary procedures governing committee and large body meetings and sessions.
Knowledge of FIT internal systems including Banner, R-25, Bi-Tech, and Hyperion Brio.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suites and presentation software.
Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee administrative support staff.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google suite
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential matters with discretion, multiple demands and projects, current and emerging priorities and competing deadlines.
Demonstrated professionalism, collaboration, discretion and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to professionally and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated effective organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
Demonstrated knowledge in the automation and streamlining of administrative processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop, conduct and facilitate training seminars and workshops.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and foster professional collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies.

Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00pm
