General Summary:
Under general supervision, coordinates the employment process and retention/ advancement services for identified positions. Ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to integrate competency in program coordination, compassion and dedication to the community. The focus of the work is to reduce disparities in health, education and employment that can impact the workforce.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel.
Develops and implements recruitment strategies for support positions assuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, UMMC policies and procedures, and UMMC Vision, Mission, and Values.
Partners with the hiring manager to formulate a recruitment strategy to fill vacancies in a timely and cost efficient manner. Develops innovative recruitment plans that will proactively meet the needs of the hiring manager.
Communicates regularly (at least weekly) with all hiring managers to ensure effectiveness of recruitment strategy(s).
Interviews, screens, and refers qualified applicants for open positions of all levels.
Serves as a coach and advisor to employees who are seeking advancement in their career by helping them to identify and reach their career goals.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, Organization Development, Business Administration, or a related area of study is required.
Five years of professional program coordination, career counseling or recruiting experience required.
