Profile

We are a bilingual nature school that values: a commitment to 100% outdoor nature immersion, child interest-led learning, emergent curriculum- we follow the child’s interests and teach with snapshot moments. Inquiry-based teaching style, An emphasis on authentic play/ Small class size: 1:4.5 teacher:student ratio. The limit is 9 students per class. Spanish immersion: at least one teacher will speak exclusively Spanish to children. Ideally both teachers will speak Spanish.
The assistant teacher will help the lead teacher. The responsiblities include helping keep kids warm and with their gear, help guide conflict and resolution needs, model problem solving, provide opportunities to explore nature in our forest and orchard.
The position is open for Monday-Friday either three hours a day 8:20-11:40 or 11:40-2:50. Or full day 8:20-2:50. This position works with ages 2-5 years olds with a limit of 9 students in each class.
Pay range is $15-$18 depending on experience.
We highly encourage a candidate to mix and match positions and apply for more than one position. For example, teaching in the elementary school in the morning and then preschool in the afternoon.
