A. SCOPE OF WORK:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a passionate and energetic Early Childhood Special Educator/Case Manager to join a school committed to high levels of achievement for all students. Primary responsibilities include Keeping track of all relevant dates for IEP meetings, evals, schedule and attend all IEP, eval plan and eligibility meetings, write IEPs and more. Applicants must be dedicated to the belief and desire for the inclusion of all students, and eager to be a member of a high energy, fast-paced dedicated Early Education team as well as individual student teams in support of student success for all.

Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals, the needs of the student, and involvement in the remedial process.
Assess, screen, and evaluate students and effectively share results with parents and educational staff, and participate in the eligibility determination process in accordance with state and school division requirements and best practice
Develop and implement individual Education Plans (IEPs) for all students and assists with IEPs for students with speech/language as a service on an annual basis or according to requirements
Comply with all Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming, including obtaining written Medicaid consent from parents of all students served and timely filing of claims that meet Medicaid standards
Collaborate with classroom special educators to write student goals.
Ensure that ECOs are generated with IEP, at the end of year, and when a student moves out of the district.
Complete all necessary paperwork, spreadsheets for transportation, including for ESY.
Maintain records and information concerning individual students in the prescribed confidential manner and using the records and information only for the purposes for which they are maintained according to FERPA guidelines
Write all IEP amendments.
Generate all required Goalview paperwork.
Complete all district required paperwork needed for ESY services.
Complete district ESY spreadsheets.
Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community for the purpose of fostering individual student success and growth.
Participate in various meetings for the purpose of addressing student goals and needs, and to meet laws and policies
Maintain and submit information/records including student progress for all students
Perform related duties as assigned by the administration in accordance with school district policies and procedures
C. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Minimum Required: Special Education license, or related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Special Education or Speech-Language Pathology.
Certification Required: Valid Educator License granted by the Vermont Department of Education.
Experience:
Preferred:
Experience with intensive needs children.
Training and/or experience with English Language Learners.
Experience with Supervision/Consultation.
