Are you ready for the challenge of building an innovative, best-in-sector approach to prospect research and pipeline management? Would you be excited to lead a newly-formed team and take a critical role in the rapid expansion of fundraising and volunteering at the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.?
As our first Prospect Research Manager, you will be part of the management team for Operations and Experience, within the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA). Your first priority will be to build our prospect pipeline, processes and KPIs, ready for the recruitment of additional senior fundraisers; as well as to expand prospect research into the areas of Corporates, Trusts and Foundations and alumni engagement. You will additionally manage the highly scrutinised business area of philanthropic due diligence, showing determination to maintain high standards and a reputation for both robustness and balance in this critical area. This is an exciting time to be joining our team. The University is embarking upon delivering its mission to become a University for Public Good and has just made a significant investment to increase philanthropy and alumni engagement over the next 10 years as we look to establish a more representative and inclusive community.
We are looking for people with:
Enthusiasm and determination; a desire to develop new techniques and build a sector-leading team
Experience of identifying and researching prospective donors, clients or customers
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to both lead a team and work with a high degree of independence
Ability to write concisely and persuasively
Experience of analysing and summarising data
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent professional judgement and discretion

We are looking for a Prospect Research Manager to play a crucial role in the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships and Alumni (OPPA). OPPA is responsible for cultivating relationships with philanthropic donors and volunteers and maintaining life-long links with our alumni community through a range of benefits and services.
The Prospect Research Manager will join an expanding team of creative, visionary and dedicated professionals. The role will work with colleagues to achieve ambitious new goals to increase philanthropy and volunteering and develop a sector-leading alumni engagement programme.
