Industrial Technology and Packaging Area in the Orfalea College of Business at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., San Luis Obispo, is inviting applications for a one-year, non tenure Visiting Professor position in Industrial Technology and Packaging beginning September 12, 2022.
Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching a variety of core operations (manufacturing and services), supply chain management (SCM), process improvement, and related technology topics. Applicants must hold a PhD in Industrial/Systems Engineering or closely related field. Applicants should provide evidence of, or potential for, high quality teaching and scholarly research.

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
A PhD in Industrial/Systems Engineering or closely related field.
Strong interest in teaching a variety of core operations (manufacturing and services), supply chain management (SCM), process improvement, and related technology topics.
The ability to engage in high-quality teaching and scholarly research.
Demonstrable commitment to project-based learning and engaging students in applied research.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to students-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary environments.
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant industry experience.
Knowledge and skills in industry and SCM 4.0 technologies are desirable.
Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

The Industrial Technology and Packaging Area incorporates a broad range of technical skills and business management to cultivate best-in-class industry leaders. The collaborative, project-based classes create well-rounded problem-solving graduates that are successful and quickly functional in any industry. Students develop a strong foundation in science, technology, design, business, and management disciplines and extensive hands-on coursework in two areas of emphasis: Industrial Technology and Packaging Technology.
