Summary/Objective
The Assistant Director, Student Involvement is responsible for the development of goals and objectives to support AU Club Council and co-advises the Graduate Leadership Council as it pertains to programs, budget, and services. The AD coordinates all trainings for organizations, maintains all registration paperwork and manages and approves the AUCC budget expenditures. The incumbent will also serve as the primary contact for student organization complex events. The AD is also responsible for managing CampusLabs Engage, the online administration system used by CSI and student organizations. This position may serve on University-wide committees and assist with CSI large scale events and leadership trainings.  The Assistant Director will also supervise a Graduate Assistant.
Essential Functions
Student Advising & Training
Meet regularly with student cohorts in functional area, proving feedback and guidance. Develop and execute student training on topics related to functional area. Create student cohort specific policy and procedure.
Administration & Budget Management
Manage budget and oversee contracting process for student cohort services and programming within functional area. Ensure fiscal responsibility, effective planning, effective use of resources, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University policies and procedures. Create end-of-year reports for assigned functional area. Represent department on content specific division-wide committees.
Event Planning & Execution
Plan and implement complex events within functional area. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.

Student Services Skills:
Ability to serve as bridge to services, intervene and/or advocate on students' behalf with offices across campus to support needs, drive engagement and empower students to achieve their goals.
Diagnostic Information Gathering:
Ability to seek out relevant people to obtain information; probe skillfully to get at the facts when others are reluctant to disclose the full details; ask clarifying questions; and gain a complete and accurate picture by checking multiple sources.
Standard Office Software:
Skill using email, word processing, spreadsheet/ data analysis and presentation development software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint while preparing briefings, reports, and presentations.
